Biography:

Lynn Davis is an American photographer born in Minneapolis, Minnesota in 1944. She studied at the University of Colorado, the University of Minnesota, and the San Francisco Art Institute, where she received her BFA in 1970. Davis began her career as an apprentice to Berenice Abbott in 1974. She had her first exhibition at the International Center of Photography in New York City in 1979. Davis is known for her large-format, black and white photographs, often capturing landscapes and cultural sites. Her work has been exhibited in numerous museums and galleries around the world, and she has received several awards and recognitions for her contributions to the field of photography.
