Biography:

Shashidharan Nair was an Indian artist born in Nedumbassery, India. He was known for his paintings, which evolved from narrative works to increasingly fragmented images in which the human form emerged prominently. He was also a teacher at MSU. Nair was killed in an IED explosion in Jammu and Kashmir on January 11, 2019 while serving as a Major in the Indian Army. He was 33 years old.
