Macoto Murayama is a Japanese artist who cultivates 'inorganic flora'. His extraordinary images are created after minutely dissecting real flowers and studying them under a microscope. He then uses computer graphics to create detailed, intricate blueprints of these botanical subjects. Born in Kanagawa in 1984, he graduated from Miyagi University's Department of Spatial Design and Information Systems and completed his studies at the Institute of Advanced Media Art and Sciences (IAMAS). Murayama's work combines elements of architecture and scientific illustration, reflecting his background in spatial design.
