Biography:
Madan Mahatta was an Indian photographer. He studied photography in England before returning to India and joining the family business at the famous Mahatta Studios in Delhi. Between 1950 and 1980, he documented significant moments in the urbanisation of New Delhi through his architectural photographs. Working closely with renowned architects such as Raj Rewal, Charles Correa, Habib Rahman, and Achyut Kanvinde, Mahatta's works are mainly in black-and-white.
