Biography:

Manuela Pimentel is a Portuguese artist born in Porto in 1979. She has a degree in Fine Arts from the Escola Superior Artística do Porto (2003). Her work spans various artistic fields such as painting, drawing, set design and video. Manuela Pimentel ingeniously fuses together references to traditional handicraft art of painted mural tiles with the aesthetics of street billboards and their cumulative layers of posters. She has exhibited individually and collectively since 2003 in various galleries, including THIS IS NOT A WHITE CUBE, Arte Institute, Latitudes.online, Femina, among others.
