Biography:

Marcus Tatton is a New Zealand sculptor who creates monumental sculptures in public spaces. He explores the relationship between natural and non-natural environments, studying how humans interact with nature and its impact on the landscape. Born in Taumarunui, New Zealand, Tatton graduated from the University of Tasmania with a degree in fine arts (furniture design). He has created works for urban public spaces and private outdoor environments, ranging from ephemeral interventions to large-scale structures depending on the human context and natural environment. Tatton's work is inspired by his surroundings, particularly the wild landscapes of Tasmania.
