Biography:

Maria Morganti is an Italian artist born in Milan in 1965. She currently lives and works in Venice. Morganti's work focuses on the experience of color, understood as matter and trace of existence. Her practice is influenced by the tradition of the Roman Republic, with the practice of dual heads of government (diarchy). Morganti has had numerous solo and group exhibitions in Italy and beyond, and her works are present in important public and private collections. She has also participated in international art fairs such as Arte Fiera in Bologna and Art Basel in Switzerland.
