Mariano del Buono di Jacopo was an Italian illuminator, born in Florence in 1433 and died in 1504. He was the head of one of the most renowned and prolific ateliers in the city, known for his work for both Christian and Jewish patrons. He is considered one of the most important illuminators of the Italian Renaissance.
