Biography:

Masayoshi Nojo is a Japanese artist born in 1989 in Kanagawa, Japan. He completed his MA in Japanese Paintings in 2015 from the Kyoto University of Art and Design. Nojo combines contemporary visual languages with Japanese aesthetics to explore themes of memory and the passage of time. His work is reminiscent of Ogata Kōrin’s celebrated work during the Edo period, particularly his use of silver, which is ethereal and shimmering. Nojo's art has been exhibited in various galleries and institutions, including the JD Malat Gallery and the Asia Society.
