Biography:

Mathias Schaufler is a German artist born in 1964 in Laichingen, Germany. He studied at the Hochschule für Bildende Künste Hamburg from 1988 to 1990 and at the Städelschule in Frankfurt from 1990 to 1991. He is known for his multidisciplinary practice, which includes painting, sculpture, and installation. His work often explores the relationship between the human body and its environment. He has exhibited in numerous solo and group exhibitions in galleries and museums around the world, including the Museum für Moderne Kunst in Frankfurt, the Kunsthalle Basel, and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles. He currently lives and works in Berlin, Germany.
