Biography:

Mikołaj Małek is a Polish visual artist born in Brwinow, Poland in 1983. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow in 2009 and received a scholarship from the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage in 2014. His artistic practice includes building models, installations, small interferences, sketches, and references to literature. Małek explores the question of imagination and the dynamic relationship between the imagined and the real. He has had solo exhibitions at CCA Kronika in Bytom, Bunkier Sztuki in Krakow, Otwarta Pracownia in Krakow, and group shows at MOCAK in Krakow, Zderzak Gallery in Krakow, CCA Kronika in Bytom, and the Princes Czartoryski Museum in Krakow. He lives and works in Warsaw, Poland.
