He creates playful and personal works that draw on daily life in Myanmar, addressing the complex history of a country that was long isolated from the world. His artworks often incorporate elements of magic or allegory, infusing seemingly typical objects or scenes with potent properties. Min Thein Sung has participated in various exhibitions, including the Singapore Biennale 2019, and his works have been showcased in galleries such as the Gallery of Modern Art, Brisbane. He is also known for his appearances on Myanmar Idol and Galaxy Star as a judge.
