Biography:
Unno Mitsuhiro was a Japanese artist of woodblock prints. He was self-taught and graduated from the Shizuoka Business High School before becoming an artist. In 1969, he became an associate member of the Nihon Hanga Kyōkai. His work includes unidealized representations of country life, characterized by his use of colors, particularly colors contrasting with deep black. He was a promising artist whose career was cut short by his untimely death in 1979.
