Biography:
Mohamad Omran was born in Damascus, Syria in 1979. He graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts of Damascus and began his career as a sculptor. He later moved to Paris where he pursued further studies in art history. Omran's work focuses on the human body and its deformations, often depicting figures with flaws and imperfections. His sculptures and drawings are critical of despots, violence, and abuse of power. Omran has exhibited his work in various galleries and institutions around the world, including the British Museum and the Institut du monde arabe in Paris.
