Biography:
Moustafa Farroukh, also known as Muṣṭafā Farrukh, was a prominent Lebanese painter born in Beirut in 1901. He is considered one of the most important artists of the 20th century in Lebanon, having produced over 2000 paintings, many of which are held in collections both in Lebanon and abroad. Farroukh was formally trained in Rome and wrote five books, including a biography. He received numerous awards for his work, including the Lebanese order of Merit and the order of the Cedar. Farroukh passed away in 1957.
