Biography:

Moyo Ogundipe was a Nigerian painter, graphic illustrator, and art teacher born in Ibadan, Nigeria in 1948. He obtained a BA in Fine Art and Art Education from the University of Ife in 1972. Disillusioned by political instability in Nigeria, he moved to Baltimore in the 1980s to attend the Maryland Institute College of Art. Ogundipe's work often explores themes of migration, identity, and the global condition. He was a prominent figure in the contemporary African art scene and exhibited his work internationally. Ogundipe passed away in 2017.
