Biography:
Muneer Mohamed Elbaz is a Palestinian artist born in Gaza in 1985. He holds a master's degree in Architectural Conservation from Cairo University in 2007. He has more than 16 years of experience in the cultural heritage field and is an expert in Planning and cultural heritage. He is a Lecturer and Coordinator of the Development Planning Program at University College of Applied Sciences. He is also an expert in Arabic Epigraphy, Mamluks (Islamic History), and Gaza Strip. He is the author of the manuscript restoration 2, dated 2020, in digital medium. He is known for his work in the Great Mosque of Gaza, also known as the Great Omari Mosque, which was the largest and oldest mosque in all of Gaza, Palestine, located in Gaza City. He is currently working on the restoration of the Great Mosque of Gaza with the Cultural Emergency Response organization.
