Biography:

Murali Cheeroth is an Indian artist born in 1966 in Thrissur, India. He earned a BFA in 1992 and MFA in 1995 from Santinikethan, West Bengal, and an advanced computer diploma in digital media. He has exhibited in more than 100 significant shows all around the world. His works are vivid commentaries and observations of cultural structures and identities in society. Often stitching together a collage of jarring imagery, Cheeroth's artworks are a reflection of his thoughts and experiences. He is the chairman of Kerala Lalithakala Academy for Fine Arts since January 2022.
