Biography:

Moustafa Haidar, also known as Mustapha A. Haidar, is a Lebanese artist born in Mazraat es-Siyad, Jbeil. He is known for his skill in coloring and transparency, and achieves a one-stroke rule that soaks his watercolor paintings in light. He selects colors impulsively and mixes only two at a time to access their infinite possibilities. Haidar is also a trained scientist, with a research emphasis on biochemistry and molecular biology of light-induced coiling and pre-haustoria development in dodder seedlings. He has exhibited his work in Lebanon and has a CV available online. In addition to his artistic and scientific pursuits, Haidar has also been recognized for his personal story, including being orphaned by an ISIL bomb in Beirut and resettling in Germany as a neurologist.
