Biography:

Nagham Hodaifa is a Syrian artist born in 1981. She graduated from the Department of Painting, Faculty of Fine Arts, Damascus University and received her PhD in Contemporary Art History from the Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University. Her work explores the human condition through the representation of the body and/or by its disappearance. She creates using various materials and different techniques, often combining painting with music, dance, poetry, and calligraphy. Hodaifa has held numerous exhibitions and performances, and lives and works in France since 2005.
