Biography:

Teijiro Nakahara was a Japanese sculptor born in Asahikawa, Japan in 1888 and died in 1921. He is known for his sculpture 'Head of Old Man' created in 1916. The Asahikawa Museum of Sculpture in Honor of Teijiro Nakahara is dedicated to his work and is located in Asahikawa, Hokkaidō, Japan. The building was used as the officer's social club by the 7th Division of the Imperial Japanese Army from 1902 until 1945 and was designated an Important Cultural Property in 1968.
