Nandipha Mntambo is a South African artist born in 1982 in Mbabane, Swaziland. She is known for her sculptures, videos, and photographs that focus on the human female body and identity, using natural and organic materials. Her art style is described as eclectic and androgynous, and she is best known for her cowhide sculptures that connect the human form to nature. She received her MFA from Michaelis School of Fine Art, University of Cape Town in 2007.
