Navin Rawanchaikul is a Thai artist born in 1971 in Chiang Mai, Thailand. He is known for his installation and performance works, often created for non-traditional venues and never given market value. Navin Rawanchaikul was one of the founders of the Chiang Mai Social Installation, an art project and festival series that brought arts out of traditional and commercial venues and into the streets and non-traditional venues of Chiang Mai, Thailand. Navin Rawanchaikul's work has been displayed in the Gallery Soulflower, an art gallery in Thailand that promotes Indian art and serves as a platform for Indian contemporary artists to present their individual art. Navin Rawanchaikul is also a recipient of the Silpathorn Award, an honour for living Thai contemporary artists presented annually by the Office of Contemporary Art and Culture, Ministry of Culture of Thailand.
