Newell Harry is an Australian artist born in Sydney in 1972. He is known for his installations, sculptures, and mixed media works that explore themes of cultural identity, globalization, and consumerism. Harry often incorporates everyday objects and materials into his art, such as plastic bags, flip-flops, and souvenirs, to create unexpected and thought-provoking combinations. His work has been exhibited in galleries and museums around the world, including the Museum of Contemporary Art in Sydney, the National Gallery of Victoria in Melbourne, and the Mori Art Museum in Tokyo. Harry has also participated in numerous international art festivals and biennials, such as the Asia Pacific Triennial of Contemporary Art in Brisbane and the Gwangju Biennale in South Korea.
