Biography:

Nick Brandt is an English photographer born in 1964 in London, England, United Kingdom. He studied painting and film at Saint Martin's School of Art. Nick Brandt's photographs focus on the impact of environmental destruction and climate breakdown, for both some of the most vulnerable people across the planet and for the animal and natural world. He is best known for his trilogy of work 'On This Earth', 'A Shadow Falls', and 'Across the Ravaged Land', as well as his photography book 'Inherit the Dust' and his recent project 'The Day May Break'. He co-founded Big Life Foundation in 2010 to help protect wildlife and ecosystems in East Africa.
