Niklaus Weckmann was a German sculptor who was active in Ulm between 1481 and 1526. He was commissioned to produce a high altar for the church of St. Cyriacus and Pancras in Talheim in 1517. He is known for his detailed and expressive wood sculptures, which often depict religious figures and scenes. Weckmann's work is characterized by its naturalism and attention to detail, and he is considered one of the most important sculptors of the late Gothic period in Germany.
