Nicolaas Wieringa was a painter born on 1624/1626 at Leeuwarden and deceased on 1681-05-21/1681-12-30 in Leeuwarden. He painted portraits and also religious and mythological subjects. Both father and son Nicolaas were for many years appointed by the province of Friesland for non artistic paint jobs, they were pupils of his father.
