Nicolasa Naranjo Quintana (1914-1981) was a Native American Pueblo potter from Santa Clara Pueblo, New Mexico, USA. She was known for her traditional blackware pottery, which was made by firing the clay in a closed pit with manure to produce a reduction atmosphere. Naranjo's pottery was characterized by its polished surface, elegant forms, and intricate geometric designs. She was a member of the Santa Clara Pueblo, and her work was influenced by the traditional pottery of her tribe. Naranjo learned the art of pottery from her mother, and she passed on her knowledge to her children and grandchildren. She was a respected and influential artist in her community, and her work has been exhibited in museums and galleries throughout the United States. Naranjo's pottery is highly prized by collectors and is considered to be some of the finest examples of Native American pottery.
