Biography:

Nicole Dextras is a Canadian environmental artist who works in a variety of media, including sculpture, interactive public installations, and photography. She is a graduate of the Emily Carr University of Art and Design in Vancouver, where she was a sessional teacher from 2003 to 2013. Dextras' art practice is rooted in the environmental art movement and often explores themes related to the fragility of existence and the relationship between humans and the natural world. She has created art installations in various locations around the world, including Spain, Mongolia, Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, Dawson City-Yukon, Seattle-WA, and more. Dextras has received several awards for her work and has been featured in various publications and exhibitions.
