Biography:

Nikolay Maistorov, also known as Nikolai Maistorov, was born in Sofia, Bulgaria in 1943. He is a Bulgarian artist known for his work in painting. Maistorov has had over 40 solo exhibitions and is considered by Bulgarian artist and collector Svetlin Rusev as 'the greatest contemporary Bulgarian expressionist'. He has been the subject of a film, 'NIKOLAY MAISTOROV: CREATION', which follows a period in his career and his work on a series of 27 monumental pictures. Maistorov is ranked among the Top 100,000 on ArtFacts. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts 'Nikolai Pavlovich' in Sofia and has a work called 'Stadium' in the collection of Google Arts & Culture.
