Biography:
Niloufar Lovegrove, an artist and printmaker, whose unique artistic narrative blends contemporary issues with mythological Persian stories. Through her distinctive works, featuring Persian myths and motifs, Niloufar aims to transcend cultural barriers and highlight shared human experiences. Her extensive contribution to public art, including large-scale murals, has become integral to the region's artistic landscape, demonstrating her dedication to connecting with diverse audiences. Niloufar's artistic journey has evolved over years, from earning a degree in printmaking and a Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design to recent accolades such as winning the Burnie Print Prize in Tasmania and the Bayton Award in Rockhampton. Her deliberate and contemplative approach to printmaking, particularly lino printing, beautifully reflects a balance between craftsmanship and visual storytelling. Following a successful solo exhibition at Artspace Mackay, which led to the acquisition of her installation by Artbank, Niloufar is currently working on a new body of work for her upcoming solo exhibition at Creative Whitehorse.
