Biography:

Noboru Tsubaki is a Japanese artist born in Kyoto in 1953. He graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts of Kyoto City University of the Arts. He is currently a professor at the Department of Fine and Applied Arts and the Graduate School at Kyoto University of the Arts. Tsubaki has exhibited his work in numerous solo and group exhibitions, including at the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kuad Gallery, and the National Museum of Art, Osaka. He has also been the subject of several publications, including a monograph published by Ocula. Tsubaki's work often explores themes related to nature, technology, and the human condition. He is known for his use of a variety of media, including painting, sculpture, and installation. Tsubaki has also been involved in various academic and curatorial projects, including serving as the director of the Department of Fine and Applied Arts at Kyoto University of the Arts.
