Biography:
Natipah, also known as Nortipah Binti Abdul Kadir, is a Royal Pahang Weave Master Craftsman from Pulau Keladi, Malaysia. She has been weaving silk textiles since her teenage years and has become a master of the craft. Natipah is known for her beautiful weaved sarongs that are worn by royalties during special ceremonies, weddings, and festivals. The motif used in her work is the chess base design. Natipah's work has been popularized in Pekan, Pahang, and she has been recognized for her contributions to the art of weaving. She is the only one left who still carries on the tradition of Diraja Pahang weaving.
