Biography:
Nqabisa Faku is a South African artist, writer, and mental health advocate. She is a Mastercard Foundation scholar and has been selected as co-guest editor of the New African magazine. Nqabisa has a Master's degree in psychology from the University of Cape Town and has conducted research on the validity of task-shifting mental health care in South Africa. She has also written for Her Campus and Google Arts & Culture. Nqabisa's artworks often explore themes of spirituality, identity, and culture. Her notable artworks include 'A Spiritual Death by a Difference' and 'Why Should Children Be Seen, Not Heard?'.
