Biography:

Olcay Ataseven is a Turkish artist born in Isparta, Turkey in 1981. She completed her art education at Hacettepe University and currently lives and works in Isparta. Ataseven's work has been exhibited in galleries and museums, including the Elgiz Museum. She is known for her sculptures, such as 'Beautiful Istanbul-1' (2018), which is made of wood and measures 180 x 93 x 45 cm. Ataseven's work has also been featured in academic publications, such as a 2015 article in the journal 'Art in Public Sphere and Sculpture Practices in Public Places in Turkey'. She has also been involved in public art projects, such as the Google Arts & Culture project 'FROM ANOTHER HILL'. Ataseven's work often deals with the relationship between art and public space, as well as the urban environment. She has also been recognized for her contributions to the arts, including being a professor at Suleyman Demirel University.
