Biography:

Oliviero Rainaldi is an Italian artist born in 1956 in Caramanico Terme, Italy. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice from 1975 to 1978 under Emilio Vedova. Rainaldi's work focuses on the human figure and explores the relations between art and the Christian liturgy. He attended a two-year course at the Pontifical Atheneum of St. Anselm in Rome followed by a three-year course of theology for laics. Rainaldi's notable works include the Monument to John Paul II at Termini Station in Rome, Italy, and the exhibition 'Oliviero Rainaldi. 2023 AD' at the Crypt of San Sepolcro. He currently lives and works in Rome.
