Biography:
was a Soviet painter, honored artist of the RSFSR (1968), corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Arts (2001). He was born on February 28, 1928, in the 2nd Irgizsky nasleg, now part of the Mountainous district of the Yakut ASSR. In 1955, he graduated from the Krasnoyarsk Art School, and in 1957, he began his creative work.
After graduating from the Krasnoyarsk Art School, Osipov Afanasii Nikolaevich started working as a teacher at the Yakut Art College. He continued to work there until 1959. Later, from 1994 to 2004, he became a professor and head of the painting department at the same college.
received several awards and recognition for his work. In 1968, he was honored as an artist of the RSFSR. Later, in 2001, he became a corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Arts.
