Biography:

Park Sang-ok was a Korean artist born in Siheung, South Korea in 1956. He passed the 20th National Judicial Examination in 1978 and became a Justice of the Supreme Court of Korea. He was appointed as the Senior Presidential Secretary for Science and Technology in 2024. Park Sang-ok was also a painter, known for his Western-style paintings of traditional Korean objects and scenes. He painted the 'Hwahongmun Gate' in oil on canvas. Park Sang-ok passed away in 2018.
