Biography:
Pascal-Joseph Taskin (27 July 1723 – 9 February 1793) was a Holy Roman Empire-born French harpsichord and piano maker. He worked in Paris for most of his life, apprenticing in the workshop of François-Étienne Blanchet II before becoming a master harpsichord maker in 1766. Taskin took over the Blanchet workshop and married Blanchet's widow by the end of that year. He became extremely successful with positions in the Royal Court and invented new elements for harpsichords, also making pianos.
