Biography:
Paul Trebilcock was an accomplished portrait painter born in Chicago, Illinois. He studied under Leopold Seyffert at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago from 1923-1925. His subjects included Francis Henry Taylor, whose portrait he painted in 1948. Trebilcock was known for his popular portrait paintings and resisted the admonition to move east, having faith in his abilities as a portrait painter in Chicago. He died in 1981 at the age of 79.
