Biography:

Paulo Slachevsky is a Chilean photographer and co-founder of LOM Ediciones. He was born in Santiago, Chile in 1964 and spent his teenage years in France before returning to Chile in 1983. Slachevsky began his career as a photojournalist during the dark years of the military dictatorship in Chile. Today, he is also an editor, publisher, and occasional journalist. His work has been featured in various publications and exhibitions, including 'Chile 1973-2013, conversations with photographers' and 'Paulo Slachevsky: La fotografía como forma de resistencia'. He has received the distinction of Oficial de la Orden de las Artes y las letras de Francia (2005).
