Biography:

Pavel Bucur was a Romanian sculptor born in Bistrița, Romania in 1945. He studied at the Institute of Fine Arts 'Nicolae Grigorescu' in Bucharest from 1965 to 1971 and received a scholarship from the Ion Andreescu Institute in 1971. He was a member of the Romanian Union of Fine Artists from 1970 and participated in international biennales in Spain and Italy from 1976 to 1987. He was known for his monumental sculptures, often made of wood, and his work has been exhibited in Romania and internationally. He passed away in Brașov, Romania in 2016.
