Biography:
Pere Pruna Ocerans, also known as Pedro Pruna, was a Spanish painter born in Barcelona in 1904 and died in the same city in 1977. He was a student of Pablo Picasso and his style is characterized by a subtle palette and a strong classicism, reminiscent of Picasso's work during the same period. He supported Franco during the Spanish Civil War and produced works in support of the regime. Pruna is known for his paintings and murals. He studied at the School of Fine Arts in Spain and was a self-taught artist. He worked as a painter and stage designer.
