Peter Hristoff

Biography:

Peter Hristoff is a Bulgarian-American artist born in Istanbul, Turkey in 1958. He received his BFA from the School of Visual Arts in New York in 1981 and his MFA from Hunter College in 1985. Hristoff's work has been exhibited in numerous galleries and museums, including the Museum of Aya Sofia in Istanbul, the Yapi Kredi Cultural Center in Istanbul, and the Museum of Modern Art in New York. He has received several awards for his work, including the Joan Mitchell Award in Painting, the New York Foundation for the Arts Award in Drawing, and the Moon and Stars Project Grant. Hristoff is currently a faculty member at the School of Visual Arts in New York.
