Biography:
Petras Ivanauskas was born in 1882 in Nepomuk, Bohemia, Czech Republic. He was a Czech priest and saint, and a renowned sculptor. Ivanauskas was the canon of St Vitus Cathedral in Prague, general vicar of the Archbishop of Prague, and a professor at Charles University in Prague. He was known for his religious sculptures, including the famous 'Pensive Christ' and 'St John Nepomucene'. Ivanauskas died in 1949.
