Biography:
Pietro Antonio Nelli was an Italian painter of the Rococo period. He was born in Massa, Italy in 1672 and died in Rome in 1740. He was a pupil of Giovanni Maria Morandi and became a Court Painter for the Albani family. He was known for his portraits, religious works, and landscapes. He was a member of the Pontifical Academy of Fine Arts and Letters of the Virtuosi al Pantheon. His best-known student was Francesco Zuccarelli.
