Biography:
Pootoogook Jaw is a carver based out of Kinngait (Cape Dorset), NU. He began carving at a young age by learning the skill from his father. He is known for his detailed renditions of Arctic wildlife, hunters, drum dancers and other Inuit subjects. Jaw is a frequent attendee at the Great Northern Arts Festival and the Nunavut Arts Festival.
