Pushpa Kumari is a second-generation Madhubani artist, born in the village of Ranti in the Madhubani district of Bihar, India. She is the eldest among four sisters and grew up in her maternal grandmother's home, surrounded by beautiful Madhubani paintings. Kumari's work is influenced by her grandmother's traditional Madhubani paintings, which she learned to create at a young age. Kumari's work is known for its intricate details, bold colors, and religious themes. She has exhibited her work in galleries and museums around the world, including the Biennale of Sydney and Artspace, Sydney. Kumari's work has also been featured in various publications, including MutualArt and MAP Academy. She currently lives and works in New Delhi, India.
