Biography:

Qiu Xiaofei is a contemporary Chinese artist born in 1977 in Heilongjiang, China. He studied at the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing and received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in oil painting in 1998 and a Graduate from China Central Academy of Fine Arts in 2002. He now lives and works in Beijing, China. Qiu Xiaofei has had several solo exhibitions, including 'Point of No Return' at Boers-Li gallery in Beijing in 2010, 'Invisible Journeys' at Doosan Gallery in Seoul in 2009, and 'pagoda of the discarded' at Art&Public gallery in Geneva in 2008. He has also participated in numerous group exhibitions, including 'Face' at Minsheng Art Museum in Shanghai in 2012, 'Ministry of Truth' at Boers-Li gallery in Beijing in 2012, and 'MengLong-Oscurita' at the 54th International Art Exhibition in Venice in 2011. Qiu Xiaofei's work has been featured in several publications, including 'Qiu Xiaofei's Artistic Time Warp' on Artzinechina.com and 'China Contemporary: Qiu Xiaofei' on Tudou.com. He is also a member of the artist collective N12 and the gallery Beijing Commune.
