Biography:

Rainer Fetting is a German painter and sculptor. He was born on December 31, 1949, in Wilhelmshaven, Germany. Fetting studied at the Hochschule der Künste in Berlin from 1972 to 1978. During this time, he co-founded the Galerie am Moritzplatz with other artists, including Salomé, Bernd Zimmer, and Helmut Middendorf. The group became known as the 'Junge Wilde' or 'Neue Wilde' and achieved international acclaim in the early 1980s. Fetting's style has evolved over the years, from flat, two-dimensional paintings to more expressive and dynamic works that incorporate bright colors and strong lines. He has also created numerous bronze sculptures. Fetting has been featured in various exhibitions, including 'A New Spirit in Painting' at the Royal Academy of Arts in London in 1981. He currently lives and works in Berlin and New York.
